As we all know our Second Amendment rights have been upheld in the state of Illinois which includes the right to keep and bear arms. The right to carry a concealed firearm in the state of Illinois has been a long battle for law-abiding citizens. This database lists the business that refuse concealed carry permit holders from patronizing their business while carrying a firearm for self -protection. Even though statistics show that concealed carry permit holders are far more law-abiding then the general public, these businesses simply are ignorant. We need to politely let the business know that posting NO GUN SIGNS does nothing to make them or their business safer. In fact it simply tells criminals that the business and the patrons within it could be an easy target. Those who carry concealed, can help keep this right by adding to this database businesses that post “NO GUNS” signage. Businesses that posting no gun signs will be listed in this database until their signs are removed. We encourage people not to patronize businesses that have these signs posted, doing so, or agreeing with that policy will not keep you or you loved ones safe. Give them a Law Weapons (NO GUNS = NO MONEY) Card and tell them you will seek an alternative establishment to spend your money. I suspected this business might be posted and I was right. I may get my future glasses at a firearm friendly place. And if I am ever subjected to gun violence at a posted business; I will be the first to file suit against them. They are supposedly guaranteeing my safety with a window sticker!
